Awarded on the basis of academic performance and the vote of the faculty of the Department of Computer Science. Can be applied toward incidental fees, general fees, and other expenses less any other scholarships received. The Department of Computer Science submits names of recipients to the College of Science and Mathematics Scholarship Committee by March 1. Recipients are selected by computer science faculty on the basis of the following criteria: (1) must be a computer science major (2) have a minimum 3.5 grade point average in the major (3) have a 3.0 overall grade point average (4) must have completed at least two senior level computer science courses at Southeast. Additionally, the candidate must be recommended by a member of the computer science faculty as having exhibited outstanding interest in computer science and having demonstrated the capability of pursuing graduate work in computing sciences.
