Thelma and Paul H. Sturgeon

Open to students who have been accepted into the Teacher Education program, earned 60 credit hours, maintained at least a 2.5 GPA, demonstrated promise as a teacher, and exhibited a genuine concern for children. Applicant must have two professors in Teacher Education write nomination letters which should refer primarily to the student’s promise as a teacher and to the student’s genuine concern for children. Letters should be attached to the application or sent directly to Student Financial Services by the application deadline. Preference will be given to applicants already enrolled at Southeast. Repayment to the scholarship fund is encouraged. Deadline is March 1st.
