Robert Craig Jones

Craig’s career took several turns before he entered Southeast Missouri State University as a non-traditional student. His mother always said he cut his teeth on a gun butt, as his father was at one time a police chief and also a volunteer deputy sheriff. In Craig’s early career he also served as a police chief and deputy sheriff. In his thirties, he decided to finish his degree at Southeast Missouri State University. He majored in Criminal Justice and graduated in 1989. He was hired by the Department of Corrections of Illinois as a Correctional Officer and later as a Counselor. He retired from the Vienna Correctional Institution in 2012.
