Henry Gerecke

Henry Gerecke established this scholarship to thank his wife for her service to the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Mrs. Gerecke volunteered as a rape investigator and counselor. She was invaluable to the force because of her experience and expertise. In World War II, Mrs. Gerecke was an Army nurse, and she worked as a registered nurse after the war. She also served on the Governor’s Task Force for rape.
