Dr. Frank J. Linn

Dr. Frank Linn began his teaching career in a small rural school district near Springfield, Missouri in 1955. He spent the next three years primarily as an elementary principal followed by seven years as a secondary principal. During those years he also taught a variety of classes at the elementary, junior high and senior high school levels.

In 1952, Dr. Linn received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Drury College (now Drury University) in Springfield, Missouri. He spent the next two years in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Dr. Linn received the Master of Arts degree, with emphasis in Public School Administration, from Drury University in 1962. He then earned the Doctor of Education degree from the University of Arkansas in 1967, majoring in Elementary School Administration and Supervision.

Upon completing his studies at the University of Arkansas, Dr. Linn joined the Education Department faculty here at Southeast Missouri State University where he taught a wide variety of graduate courses in what is now the Department of Educational Leadership.

Dr. Linn retired from Southeast Missouri as Professor Emeritus in August 1995.
