Dr. F. Monte and Alice R. Evens

Dr. F. Monte Evens was born in Herculaneum, Missouri and graduated from Herculaneum High School. Dr. Evens received a B.S. in chemistry and mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University in 1955. He then attended Iowa State University, where he received his M.S. in 1959 and a Ph.D. in 1962. He worked as a Research Associate at the Ames Laboratory at Iowa State University from 1954 to 1962, and as a Research Chemist for the Miami Valley Laboratory of Procter and Gamble in 1962 through 1963. He then assumed a position with Conoco, Inc., where he worked in a variety of capacities from 1963 until his early retirement in 1993. Dr. Evens is the co-inventor of CONOSTAN. He is the co-author of five U.S. Patents, numerous publications, and a variety of technical presentations.

Alice R. Frowitter Evens was born in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Beaumont High School. She attended Southeast Missouri State University for two years. She is the parent of five daughters. Alice has been a full time homemaker except for some brief times of employment outside the home. She has occupied many leadership positions in the Girl Scouts of U.S.A. organization, including member of the Board of Directors and Program Chair for the Cherokee Strip Council. Her efforts were recognized when she received the prestigious “Thanks Badge” and later the President’s Award.
