B. Marie Ruester

B. Marie Ruester was a graduate of Jackson High School. She was employed as a Maintenance Supervisor at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1985 as a Maintenance Supervisor. She took all the available horticulture courses in the Agriculture Department and some sewing courses in the Home Economics Department at Southeast Missouri State University, and she also enjoyed gardening in her retirement.

John T. Ruester received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He was employed by Southeast Missouri State University from 1959 to 1970, attaining the position of Director of the Physical Plant. John then went to Layne Western Co. from 1970 until 1985, and then returned to the University as Maintenance Supervisor until his retirement. John enjoys woodworking in his retirement.
