Alta Crites Lucy

This scholarship was established by Alma Crites Gardner in honor of her sister, Alta Crites Lucy. Mrs. Gardner and Mrs. Lucy were both primary school teachers at Parma Elementary School with their mother prior to graduating from the teacher’s college in Cape Girardeau. Their dedication to the field of education in southeast Missouri has helped many young students, and with this award more young people will benefit.
